What Struggles Have You Overcome & How?

Helping and teaching people the best way to look at a situation or to build a plan of action to get past anything that stands in there way is literally the main part of my job as a Certified Life Coach.

Although, the thing many people do not stress or specify is that every challenge is different in one way or another. Times like this is it important to remember that sometimes the options that may work for one person may not work for another. So, a huge part of why I blog and have my People’s Talk & Support Group is to help all of my followers and clients to have options and gain knowledge from their peers.

Which that being said I would like to go straight into discuss about this weeks discussion question:

Our Key Largo Snorkeling Trip β€πŸ˜‚

Ok for me I would say it was swimming lmao πŸ˜‚! This took me forever to achieve and I was so proud of myself when I finally did because I love swimming but for some reason I just had such a hard time doing it lol. When I was younger my grandparents paid for me to do all these swimming classes and the instructor threw me in the pool before I was ready and well lets just say angry scared little me almost died πŸ˜‚! When I finally got out of the water almost drowning my teacher told me to line back up I was like 6 or 7. I yelled at them and said “I’m never doing this again!” Then, ran to the locker room got dressed and told my grandparents I would never go back πŸ˜‚! They tried so hard to get me to go and they spent so much money I feel bad now that I’m older haha because it wasn’t cheap but I was so scared. I couldn’t even wrap my head around it. Anyway it took me forever to learn how to swim I spent the majority of my life swimming the doggy paddle and frog haha. πŸ˜‚ Needless to say I always wanted to swim with beluga whales and love going to the beach and every year I would almost die snorkeling along or just standing in the water. So, a couple years ago I made it literally my mission to learn to swim and my husband said he’d help me and that he did. The first big test was on my 33rd birthday my husband took me to key largo and we went on a snorkel tour once again I was angry because I was scared lmao. He booked it without my permission and I refused to go and just was going to sit on the boat because I didn’t feel I was ready. But after a 45 minute ride to the spot and him complaining and egging me on I said fine ill jump in and die then but just remember if I do or get eaten by a shark its all on you lol. πŸ˜‚ Luckily, lmao to my surprise I survived β€πŸ˜‚! I leaped in before he did and I did almost drown for a few minutes because as soon as I hit the water I couldn’t breathe and I had a panic attack lol. But after a few minutes, I was so happy I did it. I swam all over. It was a horrible swimming day the place was even thinking about canceling it because the water was so rough and cloudy. Thankfully they didn’t and I kicked ass out there. I was so proud of myself. I was the first to jump in and then one of the last to get out. The water was 30 feet deep and I saw some of the most beautiful fish and some of my favorite which really blew my mind because I never got to see them in the wild. After that day I started swimming 3 to 4 times a week doing 50 laps at a time in practice for the day I plan to swim with beluga whales which I do plan to do. Georgia aquarium has a program where you can, which I want to do asap but there is a place in Churchill, Canada where people swim with them a certain time of year in the wild and I plan to go when I pull together enough money. My husband on the other hand thinks I’m going to definitely die when I do that lmao but its something I’ve always wanted to do so we will see what life brings… – SRileyLc
